Jack and I went to Brennan and Muffin's wedding at Lake Wilderness yesterday evening. It was a beautiful 80 degree day in a beautiful setting by the lake.Derek did a wonderful job officiating the ceremony.

Madison busted loose with some dance moves and said " We're partying 'till the sun comes up!" That didnt happen....we were home before 11PM.

Last Week in the NW

Jack took advantage of the nice weather and played 18 at Elk Run with Gary L. I pointed the rental car North again and had a nice lunch with some of my favorite relatives. Had a surprise visit by nephew Eli as well. Yesterday I walked  around Greenlake and had lunch with best friend Denise. In the afternoon Jack and I stopped by to visit Mary H and check out her new place just up the street from our RV park. It has been nice to see everyone this week and we hope to squeeze in a few more  visits before we leave. It seems like we are always rushing to catch up and can never see all of the friends and family we would like during our stops in the NW.

We are attending a wedding this weekend where my son in law Derek will be officiating. Madison will come home with us for one last visit and we'll be heading into Oregon Wednesday.

Sand Sculpture Federal Way

These are incredible sand sculptures on display in Federal Way. We have Madison with us until Tuesday and she was impressed with these creations.

Katie, Derek,Madison and their friend Adam K. came out to Lake Sawyer today for a barbeque, some ladder ball, and swimming. (Madison swam, we watched) Lots of boats and people on the water enjoying the warm day. We expect more of the same tomorrow.

Back at Lake Sawyer

We moved from Elma on Wednesday and we're back at Lake Sawyer in the Auburn/Black Diamond area for a couple weeks. This time we have a spot on the end of the row which gives us lots of room for chairs and a picnic table...and we can have our awning out without touching the guy next door. Looking forward to some more visiting with friends and family before we turn south and head down the Oregon Coast.  The weather is perfect....Seattle summers are the best.

Mt Rainier

This picture of Mt Rainier was on KOMO news, I did not take it but thought it was spectacular!  Jack's birthday is today. I am letting him sleep in before we go and have brunch at the Little Creek Casino in Shelton.

We had a wonderful dinner last night with friends Tom and Terry C. and Wayne and Sharon H. at Wayne and Sharons new Summit Lake home,which is about 20 minutes north of here.

Jack and I left Sequim this morning and stopped for a $2.99 breakfast at the Lucky Dog Casino in Potlatch. We decided that Sequim is one place we would like to spend more time again next Summer. The month went by so fast.

Made it to Elma and set up our camp. It was a warm day and we turned the air on for the first time in weeks. Got word that my brother Randy was headed to Ocean Shores after hiking in the area today and since Elma is right on the way he stopped by for oysters,steak dinner and a couple of beers.  Had a nice visit with him before he headed back to the coast.

This RV park is almost full. We have a spot with a shade tree so it was nice to put our chairs outside underneath it. The pool was full of kids and I probably won't go there. We'll only be here until Wednesday anyway and have other friends in the area we'd like to visit before heading back to the Seattle area.
